About the role
- Lead the team of KYC analysts by defining priorities, monitoring progress, identifying bottlenecks and providing managerial support
- Perform CDD/KYC on client onboardings, and conduct remediation and periodic reviews (for B2B and HNWI clients)
- Communicate with clients and the commercial team to obtain information and documentation required to complete CDD/KYC reviews
- Perform onboarding due diligence on business partners (banks, custodian, exchanges) and assist with due diligence by third parties
- Effectively communicate the status of onboardings to internal and external stakeholders
- Perform token vetting assessments for new issuer clients
- Align and define onboarding priorities with key stakeholders
- Act as a point of contact with the AMLCOs regarding ML/TF trends and risks identified during client relationships
- Monitor Team performance to ensure adherence to AML/CTF procedures and quality standards
- Continuously enhance onboarding processes by assessing risks and identifying efficiency gains
- Collate weekly and monthly management information and draft recommendations to Head of Compliance
- Conduct post-trade surveillance and transaction monitoring
- Identify training needs and deliver internal training to the Team and other staff members
- Keep up-to-date with regulatory developments and liaise with Compliance and Legal when required
Requirements
- 5+ years of prior experience working with KYC on-boarding processes, ideally in both traditional finance and crypto sectors
- Prior leadership and management experience in leading a dynamic team
- Relevant academic qualifications
- Flexible, a team player and able to work in scale up environments
- Experience performing CDD/KYC on client onboardings, remediation and periodic reviews for B2B and HNWI clients
- Experience performing onboarding due diligence on business partners (banks, custodian, exchanges)
- Experience completing due diligence questionnaires and liaising with third parties
- Ability to perform token vetting assessments for new issuer clients
- Experience with post-trade surveillance and transaction monitoring
- Strong communication skills to obtain information/documentation and to report status to stakeholders
- Knowledge of AML/CTF frameworks and regulatory developments
- Willingness to undergo background checks
