About the role

  • Drive end-to-end analysis, design, and optimisation of juristic client onboarding journeys
  • Partner with Compliance, IT, Operations, and Product teams to balance regulatory rigour with client experience
  • Influence how the bank manages KYC, AML, FICA compliance and complex multi-entity onboarding
  • Perform process analysis and mapping to streamline onboarding workflows and reduce error rates/turnaround times
  • Use data analysis (SQL/Excel/BI tools) to track onboarding performance and identify improvements
  • Define BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting documentation
  • Identify risk and control gaps and recommend remediation
  • Support integration requirements for APIs, risk/credit systems, and document management platforms
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and change management to implement new platforms and processes
  • Contribute to a modern, digital-first client lifecycle for juristic clients

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of juristic clients (companies, trusts, partnerships, etc.)
  • Deep expertise in KYC/AML processes, FATF, and FICA compliance
  • Familiarity with business banking products: lending, transactional accounts, treasury, forex
  • Process analysis & mapping skills to streamline onboarding journeys and workflows
  • Data analysis skills (SQL, Excel, BI tools) to track onboarding performance
  • Hands-on experience with digital platforms and document management platforms
  • Integration awareness: APIs, risk/credit systems
  • Strong grasp of South African regulatory frameworks (FICA, POPIA, AML)
  • Ability to identify risk & control gaps in onboarding processes
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement across compliance, product, operations, and IT
  • Proficient in BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation
  • Change management experience to help business users adapt to new platforms
  • Balanced problem-solving mindset: compliance-first but client-centric
  • 8-10 years' experience as a Business Analyst in financial services/digital onboarding/compliance-driven environments (preferred)
  • Agile/Scrum exposure: backlog refinement, user stories, sprint ceremonies
  • Hands-on experience in digital transformation projects and client onboarding initiatives
