About the role
- Provide on-site IT support for the United States Air Forces in Europe Air Forces Africa Base Operating Support (UABOS)
- Support the identification and implementation of process changes to improve customer support.
- Identification and implementation of process changes to improve support to the customer.
- Provide help desk support to the entire Team to include subcontractors as required.
- Coordinate with the KBR corporate IT Helpdesk on new user account creation and maintenance.
- Act as a trusted liaison with IT and Program personnel to deliver desired solutions.
- Manage site mobilizations and demobilizations, as well as full life cycle support.
- Resolve, or work with technical teams to resolve, complex problems brought forth by Projects and users.
- Coordinate with Operational Management and IT staff to accumulate and report information as requested.
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical and functional needs.
- Maintain local user accounts and act as the local KBR system Security Officer
- Maintain and troubleshoot operational network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless devices.
- Perform computer imaging and deployment.
- Assist users with hardware and software configuration of computers and accessories.
- Assist with troubleshooting and repair of IT equipment (PCs, printers, and scanners, etc.).
- Provide local client support for a variety of business applications
- Provide additional assistance as needed to support requirements and directives.
- Perform regular system backups to ensure protection of data.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current U.S. Driver’s License (minimum “C” Class)
- Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining.
- Must possess driver's license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
- Shall possess an Associate’s or higher degree in Computer Science from an accredited college, university, or equivalent and DoD 8570 .01-M IAT Level I
- Must currently possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Government (USG) issued Secret Clearance
- Shall have four years’ experience administering a mini-computer system and local area network (LAN).
- Shall be capable of connecting system hardware, personal computer hardware and loading software on the mini-computer system and personal computer, printers, and peripherals.
- Capable of performing data systems backups
- Shall be capable of connecting system hardware, personal computer hardware and loading software on the mini-computer system and personal computer.
- Proficiency in using computers and related software such as Microsoft Office and other common office products.
- Knowledge in systems specific to Civil Engineering, NexGen IT System(s) and associated subsystems.
