Assist in month-end closing and prepare manual journal entries
Assist Controller with maintaining and implementing financial controls
Prepare detailed account reconciliations and analyze data
Lead Balance Sheet review on a quarterly basis
Manage Fixed Asset system including setting up new Fixed assets and calculating depreciation
Support internal and external financial reporting
Act as Finance lead with external recycling companies
Support Controller with cashflow forecasting and tracking
Reconcile all Bank Accounts monthly
Record and track retail sales and convert to Head Office ERP
Assist with Audits of Retail Store Outlets and procedures for cash management and inventory control
Assume a leadership role to guide other accounting personnel in daily tasks
Participate in special projects as required

Requirements

Completed a University degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field
Valid CPA designation or in final stages of completion
At least 5 years accounting experience with progressive responsibility in a Corporate Accounting environment
Knowledgeable in generally accepted accounting principles and cost accounting standards
Adaptable to new and different computer programs and software
Excellent research and analysis skills
Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
Full knowledge of corporate purchasing policies, processes, and procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Teams
