About the role

  • manage the surgical sales teams for their assigned territory
  • motivate and lead teams to produce exceptional results
  • partner with the AVP and Regional Directors responsible for all three products
  • nurture a culture of trust, honor, and integrity
  • showcase proven success developing & executing sales strategies for achievement of sales goals
  • direct the region’s sales activities that result in meeting annual growth and revenue objectives
  • identify, hire, retain and develop talent through managing performance
  • establish effective communications with executives and managers
  • lead difficult sales negotiations, especially with larger prospects
  • collaborate with cross functional departments to support region growth

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • A Master’s or Advanced Degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 8 years of work experience
  • At least 5+ years of high-performance experience in the medical device cardiovascular space is required
  • A minimum of 5+ years of management experience of a field commercial team or 2+ years of Abiomed Associate Regional Director experience is required
  • Ability to gain cooperation of others and lead team members; exhibits ability to lead a diverse team with strong emotional intelligence is required
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders internal and external is required
  • Demonstrated critical thinking in fast paced environment is required
  • Ability to exercise judgment in selecting, methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results required
  • Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written) is required
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred
  • Working knowledge of business analytics tools is preferred
  • Ability to travel 60% within assigned area is required
