About the role
- manage the surgical sales teams for their assigned territory
- motivate and lead teams to produce exceptional results
- partner with the AVP and Regional Directors responsible for all three products
- nurture a culture of trust, honor, and integrity
- showcase proven success developing & executing sales strategies for achievement of sales goals
- direct the region’s sales activities that result in meeting annual growth and revenue objectives
- identify, hire, retain and develop talent through managing performance
- establish effective communications with executives and managers
- lead difficult sales negotiations, especially with larger prospects
- collaborate with cross functional departments to support region growth
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required
- A Master’s or Advanced Degree is preferred
- A minimum of 8 years of work experience
- At least 5+ years of high-performance experience in the medical device cardiovascular space is required
- A minimum of 5+ years of management experience of a field commercial team or 2+ years of Abiomed Associate Regional Director experience is required
- Ability to gain cooperation of others and lead team members; exhibits ability to lead a diverse team with strong emotional intelligence is required
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders internal and external is required
- Demonstrated critical thinking in fast paced environment is required
- Ability to exercise judgment in selecting, methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results required
- Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written) is required
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred
- Working knowledge of business analytics tools is preferred
- Ability to travel 60% within assigned area is required
