About the role
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of healthcare records from Epic EHR to OMOP CDM.
- Collaborate with clinical informaticists and data engineers to ensure accurate mapping and conversion.
- Validate and test data conversions to maintain high levels of accuracy and consistency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues.
- Document processes and create comprehensive reports on conversion progress and outcomes.
- Ensure data integrity and interoperability across healthcare data standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in EHR data management, specifically with Epic EHR systems.
- Strong understanding of the OMOP Common Data Model and healthcare data standards.
- Hands-on experience with OMOP, FHIR, and clinical terminologies.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data transformation tools.
- Experience performing ETL of healthcare records.
- Experience with data validation, testing, and troubleshooting data integration issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- PhD preferred but not required; exceptional experience can substitute.
- Experience with John Snow Labs’ technology stack (Spark NLP or medical language models) is a plus.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards in healthcare data management.
