- Freelance Auto Mechanic Writer producing clear, accurate, engaging articles on repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Break down complex mechanical concepts into friendly, actionable guidance for car owners.
- Research and write well-structured 800–1,500-word articles on repairs, part replacements, common problems, and maintenance schedules.
- Create content aligned with SEO best practices and Jerry’s style guide using reputable sources and manufacturer recommendations.
- Deliver ~5 new articles per week (or update 10 existing articles per week) with flexible workload adjustments.
- Collaborate with editorial team on outlines, revisions, and publishing workflows via CMS (WordPress or similar).
Requirements
- ASE-certified mechanic or equivalent extensive hands-on experience with diagnostics and repairs.
- Experience writing or editing automotive content for blogs, magazines, manuals, or service websites.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and basic SEO concepts (keywords, headers, meta descriptions).
- Ability to simplify technical topics and write with a clear, consumer-friendly voice.
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven; ability to fact-check thoroughly and meet timelines.
