Security Engineer

• Develop detailed technical designs and engineer robust and often customised security solutions (from Concept Design level to Issue for construction documentation and drawings).
• Apply expertise across a board range of security subjects such as networking, security management, access control, perimeter and intrusion detection, intercommunication and surveillance including the application of artificial intelligence and the ability to calculate storage, bandwidth and power/heat requirements.
• Responsible for applying a variety of physical site hardening solutions through not only traditional forms such as physical barriers, etc. but also the use of hard and soft landscaping, street furniture and street art.
• Understand and apply the defense in depth and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles
• Understand and apply security standards applicable to each project with the ability to demonstrate compliance to key stakeholders.
• Compile and deliver client specific presentations that logically and succinctly outline the projects security goals, objectives, and initiatives, systems proposed and standards and principles they will be based upon.
• Create technical drawings and coordinate the production of these in both AutoCAD and BIM (to LOD 300) with our drafting teams.
• Manage projects including deliverables, meetings, presentations, program and financials while being responsible for writing detailed proposals that outline the scope of work, timelines, budgets, and expected outcomes, and present them to our clients.
• Work with other project disciplines to ensure security solutions are properly integrated.

Security Consultant

Engineer

• Carry out CFD fire and smoke modeling using FDS / PyroSim for complex geometries.
• Develop credible fire scenarios in line with codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Perform egress and evacuation modeling using Pathfinder, MassMotion, STEPS, or similar tools.
• Assess evacuation times, crowd movement, congestion, and exit capacities to support ASET/RSET and performance-based design.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and approval authorities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery and QA.

Engineer – CFD, Fire and Egress Modeling

• Lead operational sales efforts aligned with regional strategies.
• Design and implement technical solutions for clients.
• Perform detailed security assessments and develop guiding security-focused policies.
• Cultivate and manage client relationships through effective communication.
• Establish credibility with clients and foster collaboration in risk management.
• Maintain technical expertise by performing billable work and delivering high-quality outputs.

Civil Engineer

• Manage projects and perform technical work for the Energy & Utilities group, specifically Nuclear Power
• Manage projects and perform technical work for other sectors (industrial, commercial, government, etc.) as needed
• Be willing to travel occasionally (<10%) to meet with clients and/or gather data from client sites (measurements, photographs, documents, etc.)
• Attend client project and design meetings, manage project expectations, and complete assigned tasks on schedule and within budget
• Prepare and present technical reports and design milestone presentations
