About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead operational sales efforts aligned with regional and company growth strategies.
- Drive business development initiatives by cultivating client relationships and identifying new market opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, building owners, developers, architects, contractors, and engineers regarding accessibility compliance and best practices.
- Lead and manage accessibility consulting engagements across a broad range of project types and industries.
- Conduct accessibility compliance inspections for residential, commercial, institutional, and government projects.
- Provide accessibility plan review services throughout all phases of design and construction.
- Develop and deliver training sessions and educational presentations on accessibility-related topics for internal and external audiences.
- Maintain technical expertise by performing billable consulting work and delivering high-quality project outcomes.
- Collaborate with accessibility consultants, architects, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Support project execution, resource planning, budgeting, and overall operational performance.
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- 10+ years of professional experience in accessibility consulting, architecture, engineering, or related consulting services.
- Strong knowledge of accessibility-related design and construction regulations including ADA, ABA, FHA, IBC, IEBC, and ICC A117.1.
- Experience working with state-specific accessibility standards preferred, including MAAB 521 CMR.
- Proven track record in technical consulting, client relationship management, and business development within professional services.
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively while driving operational results.
- Self-motivated team player with strong personal and professional ethics.
- Preferred certifications include APAC-BE, ICC Accessibility Inspector and Plans Examiner, or other state-recognized accessibility certifications.
