About the role
- Responsible for day-to-say account management, working closely with client teams to build key relationships and ensure an outstanding level of service.
- Support the transition of new clients into delivery, ensuring a seamless handover and strong foundation for long-term partnership.
- Proactively lead and be responsible, in collaboration with the delivery lead, for the account and ultimate client success.
- Proactively identify opportunities to grow accounts year-on-ear by working closely with client and internal teams to develop long term, iterative digital roadmaps.
- Work closely with Project Managers and delivery teams to ensure work is delivered on time, on brief and to a high standard.
- Work with client procurement teams and commercial teams to ensure that accounts are run efficiently and in alignment with due process.
- Support with the scoping and writing of Statements of Work and proposals.
- Lead the writing, coordination and submission of tenders, RFIs, RFPs and framework applications (e.g., G-Cloud, DOS).
- Collaborate with technical, UX and delivery teams to shape client digital strategies, compelling and insight-led responses, delivery estimations to support proposal writing.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities, supporting the development of the agency’s public sector pipeline.
- Maintain and evolve key sales collateral, including case studies, tender libraries and credentials decks.
- Support pitch preparation and presentation, acting as a key point of contact for prospects and partners.
- Track and analyse win rates and feedback to continuously improve our approach.
- Stay up-to-date on sector trends and procurement frameworks, representing JBi at events and webinars as needed.
Requirements
- 2–3 years’ experience in a digital account or client-facing role, ideally within a creative or digital agency.
- Strong written communication skills, with an ability to translate technical input into persuasive, plain English responses.
- Commercially minded with an eye for opportunity spotting and client growth.
- Able to build and manage relationships across both sales and delivery contexts.
- Highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
- Confident and professional communicator, both in writing and in meetings.
- 2–3 years’ experience writing and managing tenders or public sector bids in an agency or similar environment (desirable).
- Knowledge of public sector procurement and frameworks (e.g. G-Cloud, CCS, DOS) (desirable).
- Experience working with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Drupal or Umbraco (desirable).
- Familiarity with agency tools such as CRMs, project management software (desirable).
