About the role
- Lead and optimize all inventory control operations
- Develop, implement, and enforce inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize inventory levels and minimize discrepancies
- Lead and mentor a team of inventory control specialists and analysts, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Oversee and manage cycle counting and physical inventory processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation
- Analyze inventory data, identify trends, and provide insights to drive decision-making and improve inventory turns, obsolescence reduction, and working capital optimization
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, procurement, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless material flow and alignment with production schedules
- Implement and maintain inventory management systems and leverage data analytics to enhance inventory visibility and control
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce inventory holding costs, improve accuracy, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency
- Prepare and present regular reports on inventory performance, discrepancies, and improvement initiatives to senior management
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices related to inventory management
- Manage and resolve complex inventory issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in inventory control or supply chain management
- At least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role
- Proven experience working in a complex manufacturing environment, preferably within the electronics or high-tech industry
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, including forecasting, planning, and optimization techniques
- Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices
- APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent highly desirable
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a meticulous attention to detail
