About the role

  • Lead and optimize all inventory control operations
  • Develop, implement, and enforce inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize inventory levels and minimize discrepancies
  • Lead and mentor a team of inventory control specialists and analysts, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Oversee and manage cycle counting and physical inventory processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation
  • Analyze inventory data, identify trends, and provide insights to drive decision-making and improve inventory turns, obsolescence reduction, and working capital optimization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, procurement, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless material flow and alignment with production schedules
  • Implement and maintain inventory management systems and leverage data analytics to enhance inventory visibility and control
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce inventory holding costs, improve accuracy, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency
  • Prepare and present regular reports on inventory performance, discrepancies, and improvement initiatives to senior management
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices related to inventory management
  • Manage and resolve complex inventory issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in inventory control or supply chain management
  • At least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role
  • Proven experience working in a complex manufacturing environment, preferably within the electronics or high-tech industry
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles, including forecasting, planning, and optimization techniques
  • Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent highly desirable
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a meticulous attention to detail
