About the role
- Owning the Sage People HR system for Ireland, ensuring it is maintained, supported and enhanced to meet business needs
- Designing and delivering system solutions across Core HR, Self‑Service, WFM, Pay Codes and other standard modules
- Managing BAU activities such as annual salary reviews, minimum wage updates and configuration changes
- Acting as the point of contact for Sage, overseeing change requests, SOW creation, release management and issue escalation
- Supporting and maintaining integrations (e.g., Micropay, Active Directory), working closely with IT
- Providing 2nd‑level technical/system support via Zendesk and ensuring queries are resolved effectively
- Ensuring system processes meet compliance and audit requirements
- Translating business, HR and payroll needs into system improvements, enhancements and configuration changes
Requirements
- Strong experience configuring HR & WFM systems (Core HR, Absence/Timesheets, Benefits, Pay Elements, Reporting/Dashboards)
- Hands‑on experience with inbound/outbound integrations, data handling and system reporting
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and deliver via a vendor
- Experience with tools such as Jira and Zendesk
- Knowledge of Irish HR/legislative requirements
