About the role
- Mentor and build a world-class revenue accounting and operations team
- Lead all aspects of revenue accounting and close processes, structure enterprise deals, oversee revenue M&A activities, and manage disclosure and reporting
- Lead the end-to-end Order to cash process including Deal Desk review, Order booking, invoicing through cash collection and all related accounting, reconciliations and reviews
- Serve as the subject matter expert on revenue recognition rules and key stakeholder to help shape how products are sold, order form format, and deal structure
- Optimize scalable revenue and billing systems (NetSuite ARM, SuiteBilling, Celigo) in conjunction with quoting and sales order tools
- Take initiative to lead other areas within the Controllership and lead process and policy improvement initiatives across the Controllership
- Develop strong cross-functional relationships and be a strategic thought partner to the Controller and across the Finance organization
Requirements
- 14+ years of progressive accounting and reporting experience
- CPA required
- Public accounting and SaaS industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP with emphasis on ASC606
- Familiarity with SEC reporting standards
- M&A and technical accounting for complex transactions
- Familiarity with quote to cash system optimization/implementation (Salesforce CPQ, Netsuite ARM, Suitebilling)
- Experience managing full-cycle accounting operations and close processes
- Experience with M&A integration preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams
