About the role
- Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and collaborate closely with the finance team
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reimbursements
- Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments; resolve discrepancies and vendor inquiries
- Generate customer invoices, monitor accounts receivable aging, and follow up on overdue payments; coordinate billing issue resolution
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and accounting records
- Assist in the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, and other ad hoc financial reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations; stay updated on accounting standards
- Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline accounting functions
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and operations to address financial issues and ensure alignment with organizational goals
Requirements

- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with clients and team members
- Ability to identify priorities and meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with QuickBooks, HubSpot, or Bank of America CashPro a plus
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
