About the role
- Medical Billing Specialist joining ISTA Solutions' team focused on US healthcare insurance and billing
- Perform eligibility and benefits verification for treatments, hospitalizations, and procedures
- Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtain missing information
- Follow up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle timeframe
- Call insurance companies regarding payment discrepancies when necessary
- Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances
- Provide customer support via phone, email, and chat
- Resolve issues and accommodate customer inquiries to ensure satisfaction
- Collaborate with colleagues and different departments to resolve complex issues
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and feedback
Requirements
- At least 6 months BPO experience handling US Healthcare Insurance
- Experience with claims, denials, appeals
- Must have VOB (Verification of Benefits) experience
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Adaptability to a changing work environment
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Good verbal and written English skills
- Willing to work onsite in Makati
- Amenable working night shifts
