Strategic & Organizational Leadership Define the company’s long-term technology and security strategy in alignment with product and business goals.
Lead and manage the Software Development Manager, providing coaching, guidance, and career development.
Drive hiring for senior technical roles, including the Software Architect and other high-impact positions.
Represent technology in executive-level discussions and strategic planning sessions.
Process & Standards Define and enforce the organization’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) , Agile standards, and DevOps maturity model.
Establish quality, security, and compliance benchmarks for the engineering organization.
Approve and oversee high-level architecture direction in partnership with the Tech Lead and Software Architect.
Security & Compliance Own the organization’s security posture, including compliance with frameworks such as FedRAMP, SOC 2, and HIPAA.
Ensure secure design principles are embedded in architecture, development, and operations.
Partner with external auditors, consultants, and internal leaders to achieve and maintain certifications.
Culture & Continuous Improvement Foster a culture of ownership, trust, and continuous learning across the technology organization. Anticipate technical and organizational risks, communicating them transparently with proposed solutions.
Requirements
7+ years in technology leadership roles, including experience managing managers.
Proven success scaling engineering teams and implementing security/compliance frameworks.
Hands-on experience implementing SDLC processes and DevOps practices at scale.
Strong knowledge of modern cloud technologies, CI/CD tools, and security principles.
Experience hiring, developing, and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
Prior experience transitioning from project-based to product-centric development environments.
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, FedRAMP, HIPAA, etc.).
Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
