About the role
- Oversee the daily operations of the Risk and Compliance team
- Ensure adherence to security best practices and organizational standards
- Provide leadership, guidance, and performance oversight to staff
- Manage incident response activities and address escalated security events
- Monitor MDR/EDR alerts, phishing tickets, and firewall requests
- Conduct compliance audits and vulnerability assessments
- Develop after-hours response plans and coordinate emergency response efforts
- Advise clients on security improvements and Zero Trust implementations
- Train and provide feedback to support team and departmental goals
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in a SOC or incident response role
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Proven experience in leading Risk and Compliance roles
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity applications
- Experience with public cloud platforms
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, firewalls, SIEM systems, vulnerability management, and EDR tools
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Must pass CJIS fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility
