About the role
- Verify licensing business rules, purchase entitlement, and usage to generate a compliance report using tools like Flexera and SNOW.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring license records are accurate and up to date.
- Identify and report to remediate unauthorized or unlicensed software.
- Collect and analyze data for budgeting, cost comparisons, cost avoidance, and savings opportunities.
- Assist in forecasting software spend by business unit and product tier.
- Document findings and follow through on cost-saving initiatives with Business Owners.
- Respond to requests from end users, managers, and developers for SAM data.
- Generate reports on software usage, license allocation, compliance status, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain data in structured formats for dashboards and executive reporting.
- Build and maintain inventory, license, usage of licensed software across the enterprise.
- Track software lifecycle from request, approval to retirement.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience managing Flexera tools or similar SAM platforms
- Understanding of software licensing models (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, etc.)
- Experience with ITAM, SAM, CMDB, and enterprise IT environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid infrastructure.
- Familiarity with FinOps, SaaS
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
