About the role
- Serve as the primary owner of assigned client accounts, acting as the single point of accountability for client success, delivery, and satisfaction.
- Build trusted, long-term client relationships through proactive communication, structured problem-solving, and strong expectation-setting.
- Manage client communications, including status updates, risk management, issue resolution, and scope alignment.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand accounts through additional services, initiatives, or renewals.
- Ensure client retention by consistently delivering against commitments and addressing issues before they escalate.
- Own the planning, coordination, and execution of all client work, from kickoff through ongoing delivery.
- Lead client onboarding and translate Statements of Work into confirmed project plans, timelines, and resourcing needs.
- Build and maintain long-range delivery plans (often spanning 6–12 months) that sequence work realistically across teams.
- Assign, track, and manage all client work in ClickUp, ensuring tasks are clearly defined, owned, prioritized, and kept up to date.
- Actively monitor progress, dependencies, and risks, intervening early to keep work on track.
- Hold internal team members accountable to timelines and deliverables, even without direct reporting authority.
- Ensure work is delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to client priorities.
- Review client deliverables for completeness, alignment, and readiness before client delivery.
- Maintain continuous awareness of account health, workload balance, and delivery capacity.
- Adhere to established workflows for onboarding, planning, contract execution, reporting, and offboarding — and provide feedback to improve them.
- Serve as a stabilizing force for the account, ensuring “the trains run on time” across multiple workstreams.
- Develop proposals and scopes by coordinating internal inputs, estimates, and approvals that lead to renewals, expansions and new proposals.
- Contribute to inbound sales efforts and represent iPullRank in client-facing growth conversations.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Account Management, Project Management, Client Services, or a closely related role within an agency or professional services environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex client accounts simultaneously, balancing relationships and execution.
- Demonstrated strength in project planning, sequencing, and coordination, not just task tracking.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams without direct authority, using clarity, organization, and follow-through.
- Strong working knowledge of project management tools.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage long timelines, dependencies, and shifting priorities.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, basic analysis).
- Experience working with CRMs such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
- Solid understanding of digital marketing disciplines, including SEO, content marketing, paid media, CRO, and social.
- Confident communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to operate independently, make sound decisions, and escalate appropriately.
- Willingness to travel to client sites or events as needed.
