About the role
- Own the global commercial strategy for Invert’s portfolio of carbon credits.
- Drive B2B enterprise and intermediary sales, identifying and closing long-term offtake agreements and immediate spot-market sales with corporations pursuing ambitious net-zero targets and intermediaries helping them get there.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, moving complex deals from initial outreach to contract negotiation and close.
- Articulate the unique value proposition of Invert’s high-quality, vetted projects to differentiate us in a crowded market.
- Act as the primary relationship manager for our network of carbon project implementers (the supply side).
- Ensure partner satisfaction and retention, serving as the bridge between their project needs and our commercial demand.
- Identify and vet new high-potential projects and partners that align with Invert’s quality standards and growth goals.
- Work directly with the CEO to attract investment into both Invert (corporate equity/debt) and our specific carbon projects (project finance).
- Lead or support the creation of pitch decks, financial models, and investment materials.
- Represent Invert at investment conferences and lead pitches to VCs, Private Equity firms, family offices, and institutional investors.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in high-growth commercial roles (Sales, Business Development, or Growth Equity), preferably within climate tech, sustainability, fintech, or carbon markets.
- Proven track record of closing complex, six-to-seven-figure B2B deals or partnerships.
- Ability to confidently discuss IRR, ROI, and complex financing structures with sophisticated investors.
- High EQ with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders, from project developers to c-suite executives.
- A genuine passion for climate action and a deep understanding (or willingness to rapidly learn) of carbon market dynamics.
- Existing network of corporate sustainability buyers or climate-focused investors (nice-to-have).
- Experience in a venture-backed startup environment (nice-to-have).
- Bilingualism (English/Spanish) is a strong asset (nice-to-have).
Benefits
- Competitive base salary with an aggressive, uncapped commission/bonus structure based on revenue and capital raised.
- Equity package commensurate with a pre-C-suite leadership role.
- A clear growth path to the Chief Growth Officer title based on performance milestones.
- Opportunity to travel internationally to visit project sites and witness the tangible impact of your work.
- Flexible working environment (we prioritize output over desk presence).
