Provide highly personalized travel consulting services to valued customers, including but not limited to air, hotel, car, and limo
Support an established Principal Advisor who has a high-volume, fast-paced business
Understand, evaluate, assess, and support our client’s assistance needs and offer the best professional advice to solve travel and transportation problems
Finalize air, car, and hotel bookings, issue tickets, and handle invoicing, exchanges, MCOs, voids and refunds by utilizing the Sabre reservation system
Ensure that booked and confirmed travel is reconfirmed prior to travel
Utilize problem solving abilities throughout the client’s trip to ensure that all services are delivered to the client’s satisfaction
Perform own quality control; independently review client reservations for accuracy and quality
Handle most customer service issues directly with the appropriate vendor(s)
International travel planning with knowledge of world geography, routing, faring and international requirements of traveling to foreign countries
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or at least three (3) years of experience as a full-time travel agent, booking domestic and international travel, using public and private carriers
Must be a self-starter who can independently, with minimal supervision and assistance, service the travel and other concierge needs of GTC clients efficiently, accurately, and with a personal touch, while always maintaining a professional demeanor and positive attitude
Strong knowledge of Sabre reservation system (preferably in graphical mode) including GDS formats, short cuts, enhancements, pricing, fare calculations, e-ticketing, and exchanges
Knowledge of an Online booking tool (Concur) and use of finishing scripts in Sabre a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly relay information to clients and counsel them on all their travel options
Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to respond to clients when necessary
Excellent dispute resolution skills
Must be well-organized and detail oriented
Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple responsibilities
