About the role

  • Support rapid needs assessments processes from design to reporting, including the use of surveys, focus group discussions, and/or key informant interviews.
  • Use project proposals and project design tools like theories of change and logframes to identify project indicators, targets, and develop data tracking systems.
  • Ensure consistent use of data collection tools by staff and partners; monitor data quality and follow up on issues identified.
  • Maintain project database(s) to support efficient, accurate data management, reporting, and analysis.
  • Produce accurate summaries to support action planning and reporting needs of projects in collaboration with other M&E team members and other staff.
  • Create tools to collect stakeholder feedback, analyze results, and provide actionable recommendations
  • Contribute to team efforts to streamline M&E systems for reporting and learning across projects.
  • Manage multiple projects with varying timelines and priorities to ensure timely delivery of M&E outputs.
  • As needed, support the production of monitoring and evaluation learning resources and training opportunities including webinars, courses, written resources, multimedia, etc.
  • As needed, support the M&E team in fielding technical assistance requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, information systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) work.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines. Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated commitment to data-driven programming.
  • Demonstrated experience in M&E systems, including project design and familiarity with theory of change, logframes, indicators, and targets.
  • Proven ability to collect data using surveys and other data collection tools; analyzing and visualizing data; and reporting.
  • Comfortable working under supervision with routine tasks and regular check-ins.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and external stakeholders.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated experience using cloud-based collaborative platforms and other web analytics platforms (e.g., Airtable, Stacker, Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Preferred: Demonstrated experience in creating interactive dashboards.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated experience providing technical assistance, capacity-building, and/or training related to monitoring and evaluation.
