Establish a solid framework and comprehensive policies and procedures to enhance CIMMYT’s operational efficiency and governance
Report to the COO and provide regular updates on progress and issues
Be based at CIMMYT HQ in Texcoco, Mexico
Conduct a thorough review of existing organizational policies, procedures, and the framework to manage them
Benchmark current policies against industry standards and legal requirements and identify gaps, redundancies, and areas for improvement
Draft new policies and procedures to address gaps and update/refine existing policies to ensure clarity, relevance, and compliance
Ensure policies promote CIMMYT’s values, transparency, accountability, and alignment with institutional strategy and risk appetite
Engage with key stakeholders (leadership team and process owners), facilitate workshops/meetings, and incorporate feedback
Develop a detailed implementation plan with timelines, responsibilities, resources, and training materials
Provide training, including training the trainers, and support staff and volunteers in adopting new policies and procedures
Deliver assessment report, draft and final policy/procedure documents, implementation plan, training plan/materials, and a prioritized finalized set of policies
Requirements
Proven experience in policy development and organizational management
Full English proficiency, both written and spoken
Understanding of the NGOs/ International Organizations sector and its regulatory environment
Excellent communication and facilitation skills
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
