About the role
- Own the organic search strategy, working with the Senior Performance Marketing Manager to define KPIs, targets, and success metrics.
- Develop and maintain a clear organic search/growth roadmap aligned to business and marketing objectives.
- Line manage and develop an SEO team, including talent management, objective setting and coaching.
- Act as the senior SEO authority across the organisation, influencing stakeholders, embedding best practice & keep pace in an ever-evolving search landscape
- Lead Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) initiatives, optimising content for AI-driven search
- Proactively identify organic growth opportunities
- Drive improvements in rankings, visibility, and organic traffic with a strong focus on quality, relevance, and long-term value.
- Own technical SEO audits and ensure recommendations are prioritised and delivered in partnership with Product and Technology teams (crawlability, linking, indexing, structured data, etc)
- Work alongside the content team to guide on EEAT, search intent and ensuring content is AI-friendly. Over see content audits, with a focus on keyword strategy and optimisation of on-page elements.
- Collaborate with PR on digital PR strategy to improve backlinking, brand trust and authority.
- Own performance tracking tools, monitor and report on organic performance - ensuring clear, consistent reporting and continuous improvement of available data and insights.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with third-party agencies, partners, and suppliers.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ SEO strategy experience – across technical and content
- Technical SEO experience required
- Strong data analysis skills
- Experience with AEO or a demonstrated curiosity and point of view on how AI-driven answer engines are reshaping SEO strategy.
- Team management experience
- Self-starter with a very strong work ethic
