About the role
- Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
- Enter accounting related information into accounting software
- Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy
- Organize and update financial records
- Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare documentation for external auditors
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Process AR invoices as needed
- Process AP bills as needed
- Calculate distributor fees
- Maintain customer records
- Process deposits
- Process journal entries
- Maintain asset records
- Prepare monthly financial statements & reporting package in Excel
- Prepare departmental reports as needed
- Coordinate expense account processes and complete required duties with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Month End processes
- Communicate financial needs or problems to management
- Report to the Corporate Controller
Requirements
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to read and analyze financial reports
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Bachelor’s degree required (accounting preferred)
- Three years of experience in accounting or related field
