About the role
- Build potential strategic projects independently, ensuring alignment with strategic ambition
- Assess strategic future direction of the portfolio mix
- Lead consulting projects with business units and executive team members
- Support Canadian BD executives with market dynamics and technical performance commentary
- Monitor activities influencing business relationships
- Identify trends in business performance and recommend actions
- Support the business from a strategy and planning perspective
- Represent your role at various committees and advise other areas of the company
- Contribute to the portfolio strategy preparation for individual classes of business
Requirements
- University degree or college diploma in business, accounting, finance, economics, statistics or related field
- Minimum 7 years of progressive actuarial or analytical experience in the insurance industry
- Expert knowledge of advanced Excel, PowerPoint, data visualization tools (like PowerBI, Tableau, Zoho etc) and other analytical tools
- Ability to influence business relationships to achieve development and growth objectives
- Strong knowledge of the insurance products and specialty lines business
- Very good knowledge of the SL business and insurance products.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
