About the role

  • Drive adoption of Instinct’s Decision Support products: Your work will focus on Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs, specifically within the pharmacy customer base
  • Create and implement comprehensive account plans for strategic pharmacy clients, focusing on maximizing revenue and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities within pharmacy groups and health systems of all sizes.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand the specific challenges and goals of each client.
  • Effectively present and demonstrate our products and services, highlighting their value proposition and addressing client concerns.
  • Negotiate and close complex deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that drive client satisfaction and revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and partner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a successful sales motion into the pharmacy industry.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and reports to management, tracking progress against targets.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and relevant regulatory changes within the pharmacy and veterinary industries.
  • Travel to client locations, and industry conferences as needed.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs
  • Ability to travel to client sites and conferences as needed (estimated 1-2 times per quarter)
  • A strong understanding of the pharmacy landscape, including the dynamics of online veterinary pharmacies, individual retail pharmacies, and large pharmacy groups
  • Ability to cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including pharmacy procurement and leadership teams.
  • A consultative mindset and knack for solving problems that address customer needs
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivation and strong organizational skills Nice-to-Haves:
  • You are a licensed veterinarian (DVM or equivalent) with clinical experience
  • Prior sales experience
  • Licensed veterinarian or pharmacist
  • Board-certified veterinary pharmacist or 5+ years of veterinary experience
