Designer

• Creates clear and concise written technical documentation, visual design materials, and verbal presentations that describe layout, content, mechanics, systems, and features with an emphasis on combat design
• Designs and develops player interactions for a single player environment
• Technical scripting and hands on implementation within the game editor
• Develops combat features and implements in game, including balancing and adjusting parameters on existing in-game assets
• Implements gameplay and game structure; works with Gameplay Programming team to deliver content that meet each disciplines goals and deadlines
• Follows up with multiple departments on progress of missions or features and updates team as needed through various mediums
• Addresses bugs and gameplay issues to assure a stable and polished product
• Helps assess progress, quality, and user friendliness of project via methods such as usability testing, focus tests and in-house play tests
• Provides constructive feedback on all aspects of product; finds opportunities to increase quality of product and advises on how information may be implemented or held for future products

Combat Designer

Game Engineer

• Insomniac is looking for a Senior Gameplay AI Programmer. In this role you'll collaborate closely with our content teams as we design, implement and maintain industry leading enemy and ally gameplay experiences. A Senior Gameplay Programmer anticipates design needs and player expectations and leverages their experience to provide feedback on code quality, user experience, and performance throughout the course of development. • Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
• Collaborate across teams to drive player experience and feature quality with a focus on AI<Player interactions
• Act as a subject matter expert for our AI team, providing mentorship/assistance to more junior staff through code reviews and participation in our AI special interest group
• Create features and systems that can work flexibly and dynamically across diverse environments and situations
• Architect and implement systems that are as simple as possible without compromising scalability and extensibility
• Accurately estimate assigned work, contribute to efforts to ensure work is in scope, and proactively update team on task status
• Understand complex existing systems and how they interact. Expand or create new systems as needed to deliver on the promise of our features
• Work across teams to understand how our internal customers use the tools and systems that we develop to deliver great gameplay experiences
• Drive new feature and architecture development within AI Systems

Senior Gameplay Programmer, AI

Project Manager

• Build, lead, and mentor a world-class Project Management Department to achieve Insomniac's vision of Best Developer
• Ensure excellent on time in budget deliveries through strategic planning, team leadership, and collaboration with Studio Leaders, Project Leaders, and Project Managers
• Create, enforce, and modify macro development schedules in conjunction with Project Directors and Project Managers
• Anticipate schedule and budget overruns and initiate actions to resolve them
• Play games in development to ensure operational goals and quality standards are being met
• Provide budgeting for the Project Management department in conjunction with Finance
• Evaluate and implement staffing strategies to meet project needs
• Direct the professional development of all project management employees
• Advocate for studio cultural values and foster an environment of craft excellence, collaboration, and inclusion
• Develop strategies to improve studio efficiency and quality
• Develop collaborative relationships across all departments and ensure organizational cohesiveness toward project objectives

Director, Project Management

• CONTRACT ROLE
• Lead and coordinate with vision holders to set Cinematic team goals, ensuring successful documentation, tracking, and implementation of cinematics across the game.
• Manage schedules, facilitate communication, and solve challenges within the development process to deliver cohesive gaming experience.
• Build, modify, and maintain schedules for assigned Pods in partnership with Pod Leads.
• Partner with Track and Pod Leads in the creation of milestone goals deliverables
• Anticipate and solve problems independently and collaboratively to ensure smooth production
• Break down large complex production expectations into smaller actionable deliveries
• Guide stakeholder reviews and feedback process with Pod Leads
• Communicates update to the development team about project changes and progress.
• Facilitate cross-discipline communication and unblock team members from task dependencies
• Maintain awareness of Pod content status through regular play sessions

Project Manager, Cinematics

• Creates animation content at a consistently expert quality level delivered on schedule and meeting performance targets.\n• Works with Animation Directors and Lead Animators to establish animation style and with the gameplay animation team to maintain a cohesive animation style for the game, providing constructive feedback as needed.\n• Mentors, tutors, and aids others based on documented workflows.\n• Ensures Designers and Programmers understand the creative direction and identifies required animation assets for characters and scenes through clear cross-department communication.\n• Provides support for both independent and embedded Co-Dev resources and organizes work for Ex-Dev resources including creating briefs and reviewing and integrating deliveries.\n• Experiments with and evaluates techniques to improve efficiency, workflow, and visual fidelity in our animation pipeline.\n• Assists in establishing and maintaining performance targets and collaborates with other departments to ensure animation is implemented appropriately in the game engine.\n• Assists with creating documentation in Confluence, or equivalent.\n• Assists with tasking in JIRA, or equivalent.\n• Effectively communicates with the Animation Director and Project Management to report progress and ensure timely completion of deliverables.\n• Other duties may be assigned
