About the role
- Manage a team of full-time and contract developers across Python and PHP, and a Marketing Analytics platform administrator
- Define detailed technical tasks, write tickets, and provide architectural and coding guidance
- Oversee Django-based websites hosted on AWS with Bitbucket and Jenkins deployments
- Maintain and support Jenkins deployment workflows using NFS
- Manage and troubleshoot traffic delivery and caching via Akamai and Cloudflare, including CDN rules, TLS termination, and origin routing to AWS ELBs
- Maintain Python-based Lambda scripts for redirects, in-application messages, subscription fulfillment, and integrations
- Support and guide the transition from Django to Drupal, ensuring parity across content and functionality
- Coordinate contract developers working in Pantheon on Drupal CMS, workflows, and front-end updates
- Oversee analytics and optimization tooling including GA360, GTM, Microsoft Clarity, OneTrust, and Optimizely
- Serve as primary liaison between web team and marketing stakeholders; scope projects, provide timelines, and prioritize
- Own vendor relationships, platform contracts, and track budget, license usage, and platform utilization
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing technical web or marketing technology teams
- Proven ability to lead full-stack development efforts and manage hybrid environments with legacy and modern platforms
- Strong technical understanding of Django, Python, Drupal, PHP, AWS infrastructure, and deployment pipelines
- Experience writing technical documentation and implementation-ready tickets for developers
- Ability to step in and troubleshoot code or infrastructure when needed
- Experience with CDN configuration and edge caching strategies using Akamai or Cloudflare
- Familiarity with analytics, tag management, and experimentation tools including GA360, GTM, Microsoft Clarity, OneTrust, and Optimizely
- Excellent communication, project management, and vendor negotiation skills
- Ability to balance immediate operational needs with long-term strategic improvements
- Experience managing Jenkins, Bitbucket, NFS-based deployments, AWS Lambdas, and Pantheon
