About the role

  • Take responsibility for medical education initiatives, ensuring quality, scientific accuracy, balance and the non-promotional nature of information and data.
  • Leverage new technologies (e.g., iPad, Webex, live/virtual feedback tools) to enhance the development and delivery of educational initiatives.
  • Collect, analyze and synthesize data, intelligence and insights in medical education related to the assigned therapeutic area, and share them with relevant internal functions.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of internal procedures and external guidelines, including those of national and provincial accreditation bodies.
  • Ensure that all educational initiatives comply with the requirements of Health Canada, OPPB (PAAB), the IMC Code of Ethical Practices, as well as internal policies and SOPs.
  • Integrate updated scientific data, publications and product priorities to support the development of value-added educational programs.
  • Report any potential adverse event, event of special interest or medical device-related incident within 24 hours of becoming aware, in accordance with adverse event training requirements.

Requirements

  • Degree in the sciences and relevant experience in a pharmaceutical, medical, CME or training environment, with a strong focus on education and teaching.
  • CCPE certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in medical education, CME, training or a related pharmaceutical role.
  • Bilingual (English and French), with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry guidelines, including Health Canada, OPPB (PAAB) and the IMC Code of Ethical Practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of CME principles, adult learning methodologies, accreditation processes and program evaluation.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial considerations.
