About the role
- Support a greenfield SAP Cloud for Utilities implementation focused on the Meter-to-Cash process
- Design and implement scalable, compliant, and future-ready SAP IS-U solutions tailored to DSO operations
- Gather, validate, synthesize, document, and communicate data and information for a range of audiences
- Analyze business processes and design optimized SAP solutions
- Lead integration and implementation of SAP modules across energy industry systems
- Manage project teams through concept, realization, rollout, and quality assurance
- Take ownership of project management tasks and contribute to IT strategy development
- Collaborate with technical teams and contribute to solution architecture
- Mentor junior consultants and support hiring initiatives
- Engage with stakeholders and support project-related travel as required
Requirements
- 10+ years of SAP IS-U experience in consulting or in-house roles
- Deep expertise in at least one of: Marktkommunikation (Format, IDEX, MPM ehem. Common Layer, MaCo Cloud); Billing (tariffing, MOS billing, feeder, redispatch); Smart Metering/Device Management (GV, IM4G, GWA, MDM, MPM formerly Common Layer); Energy data management
- Strong affinity for IT and experience with ABAP, debugging, and functional design
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex SAP projects
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills in country’s official language(s) (C2 proficiency) and English (C2 proficiency)
- Communicate fluently in German (C2) and English (C2) and willing to travel for project-related work
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field
- Preferred: Experience with SAP S/4HANA Utilities implementation and migration
- Preferred: Knowledge of SAP Cloud for Utilities and cloud-based SAP solutions
- Preferred: Familiarity with German energy market regulations and DSO-specific processes
- Preferred: SAP Certification in IS-U or S/4HANA Utilities
- Preferred: Experience in digital transformation projects for utility companies
