About the role
- A BDR (Business Development Representative) is responsible for generating and qualifying new business opportunities.
- Their core focus is on outbound prospecting, early-stage sales engagement, and building a healthy pipeline for Account Executives (AEs).
- Conduct cold calls, cold emails, and social outreach (e.g., LinkedIn).
- Personalize messaging to engage prospects effectively.
- Get to 10 weekly meetings.
- Handover 10 weekly meetings to AEs.
- Provide feedback to marketing on what messaging resonates.
Requirements
- Prospecting & Outreach Identify potential customers through research, tools, and market data.
- Lead Qualification Hold initial conversations to understand a prospect’s needs, challenges, and fit.
- Create a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities for the sales team.
- Collaboration with Sales & Marketing Schedule meetings or demos for Account Executives.
- Follow-Up & Nurturing Maintain communication with prospects who aren’t immediately ready to buy.
- Maintain accurate activity logs and report on KPIs: calls made, emails sent, meetings booked, opportunities created.
- Stay informed about the product, competitors, and industry trends to improve outreach.
