• We are seeking a Software Technical Lead to join the team building the control system software for Infleqtion’s quantum computers as both an individual contributor and manager for a handful of other engineers on the team. The ideal candidate is an experienced backend engineer with a strong background in creating robust and scalable scientific applications who also has an interest in people management to help their team-mates achieve their potential. You will play a crucial leadership role in designing, building, and maintaining backend services and control systems that drive our neutral atom quantum processors.

• Design, develop, and deploy reliable, maintainable, scalable, and fault-tolerant backend services and frameworks that control and calibrate our neutral atom quantum computers.
• Mentor and guide software engineers as direct reports, fostering their growth and enhancing the team's technical expertise.
• Lead code and design reviews, upholding engineering best practices and promoting a culture of quality and collaboration.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including scientists, opto-mechanical engineers, and electrical engineers, to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Empower interdisciplinary teams to create the tools they need by teaching engineering and programming best practices.
• Support and debug all layers of the control stack from real-time embedded kernels to distributed services.
• Advocate for and implement innovative software development methodologies and tools to improve team efficiency and product quality.

Technical Lead – Software

Manager

• Infleqtion is seeking a proactive and highly organized Facilities and Safety Manager to oversee daily operations and long-term planning of facilities and lead safety and compliance programs.
• Oversee daily building operations, maintenance, and repair of all facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, utilities, security, and access control platforms.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors and vendors for facility-related projects, services, and routine/preventative and emergency maintenance programs.
• Plan and manage facility expansions, renovations, and reconfigurations, working closely with production and engineering teams.
• Ensure facilities meet applicable building codes, environmental regulations, and local ordinances.
• Manage facility budgets, track expenses, and forecast operational needs.
• Prioritize, track, and resolve Facilities related support tickets in management portals.
• Develop, implement, and enforce workplace health, safety, and emergency response programs.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and drills to ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
• Serve as primary point of contact for workplace safety initiatives and regulatory compliance.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and ensure proper reporting of safety incidents and near misses.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs including first aid and CPR, fire safety, hazardous materials handling, and emergency action plans.
• Maintain accurate safety records including training logs, inspection reports, and incident documentation.
• Promote a strong safety culture and encourage employee involvement and continuous improvement.
• Negotiate, manage, and monitor contracts with facility service providers including maintenance, cleaning, security, and construction vendors.
• Foster relationships with landlords, property managers, and external partners.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, IT, and Operations to support business continuity and employee needs.
• This position may require access to information protected under U.S. export control laws (EAR and ITAR); offer may be conditioned on authorization to receive controlled software/technology without sponsorship for an export license.
• Work performed in office and lab environment around technical equipment including computers and lasers; able to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 40 pounds; efficient use of office equipment; PPE provided and required.

Facilities and Safety Manager

IT Support

• Lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure
• Oversee on-premises and cloud-based systems ensuring reliability, scalability, security, and performance
• Operate with a security-first mindset and perform hands-on systems administration and engineering tasks
• Oversee the design, implementation, management, and maintenance of both on-premise and cloud infrastructure (servers, storage, network infrastructure, etc)
• Manage enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Ensure high availability and performance of mission-critical systems
• Transform existing solutions and services into streamlined and standardized approaches
• Perform systems administration activities, including management of Active Directory and Microsoft 365 tenants

IT Infrastructure Manager

Engineering Manager

• Manage, develop, build, and lead a team of software developers & DevOps engineers. Mentor and guide direct reports, fostering their growth and enhancing the team's technical expertise
• Develop, communicate, and enforce software development standards and processes
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Infleqtion quantum computing software systems, their operational principles, their requirements, the broad technical stack, etc.; architect and design control system software; hands-on application of deep subject matter expertise in building software systems
• In collaboration with programmatic leadership and adjacent engineering disciplines, develop and execute a technical roadmap for software deliverables across the control stack to support given high-level quantum computing performance targets and system deliverables
• Communicate software feature roadmaps and resource needs between the control software team, adjacent stakeholders, and executive management

Director of Software Engineering

DevOps Engineer

• Design, implement, and manage robust networks, including configuring switches and managing network-connected devices.
• Manage Docker containers and orchestrate CI/CD pipelines for efficient software deployment and updates.
• Design, develop, and maintain IaC solutions and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
• Collaborate with both software developers and hardware engineers in a lab environment, documenting processes and system configurations for ongoing projects.
• Working with a variety of users and software engineers to implement and develop standard operating procedures for software deployments and system parameter updates.
• Integrating complex systems that include embedded boards, computer systems, and hardware interfaces. Coordinate these components to ensure the system is consistently operational and optimised.
• 'System-down' planning and response. Own system management and coordinate response to efficiently maintain high up-times. Plan and implement system backup policies to ensure swift recovery.
