About the role

Support the credit process for IIX’s lending products, including Women’s Livelihood Bond loan portfolios
Monitor existing loan portfolios and liaise with borrowers to monitor financial performance and covenant compliance
Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports for submission to investors and program partners
Track and assess borrower performance and provide updates to investors and partners
Identify and analyze potential borrowers, conduct underwriting and credit analysis
Support desk due diligence, financial modelling, deal structuring, documentation, and transaction closure
Collaborate with the Innovative Finance team on credit and risk matters
Provide subject matter expertise and manage delivery of lending products to assigned clients
Present credit and credit risk findings clearly in writing and verbally

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Master’s degree, CFA is a plus
Minimum 3 years in corporate credit assessment within a lending institution (not retail/credit cards)
SME lending experience is a plus
Experience in emerging markets (Asia / Africa) is a plus
Time spent in developing countries is an advantage
International development and/or impact enterprise or MFI experience
Academic or professional experience with IIX sector specializations (renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, inclusive finance, technology access, rural healthcare services, education)
Fluency or proficiency in one or more regional languages
Proficiency in Excel (Index-Match, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic modelling)
Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication skills
Corporate credit risk, financial analysis, and portfolio monitoring experience
