Lead discovery activities and facilitate prioritization and user-testing sessions.
Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to uncover goals and user needs and translate them into decision-ready artifacts.
Plan and run user research, interviews, and usability tests; synthesize findings into insights and recommendations.
Develop personas, user flows, journey maps, sitemaps, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to define coherent information architecture.
Work closely with the Director of Digital Strategy on content audits, metadata, and taxonomies to improve discoverability and SEO.
Monitor performance with web analytics, evaluate information architecture over time, and recommend targeted enhancements.
Guide cross-functional teams (PM, Development, Designers, BAs, Content) through design reviews and iterative improvements.
Align IA and UX decisions with visual design and business objectives while keeping accessibility and best practices front and center.
Requirements
Discovery facilitation: Proven ability to lead discovery/prioritization/user-testing sessions, present persuasively to executives, and handle live Q&A.
Stakeholder alignment: Demonstrated success collaborating with clients and cross-functional partners to translate business goals, target audiences, and user needs into IA decisions.
User research: Hands-on experience planning, running, and synthesizing interviews and usability tests into clear insights and recommendations.
Core UX artifacts: Track record producing personas, user flows, and journey maps that guide structure, content, and scope.
Information architecture: Expertise creating and maintaining navigation, sitemaps, taxonomy/labeling, plus wireframes and interactive prototypes; adapting work based on evidence (e.g., card/tree testing).
Content partnership: Experience conducting content audits/gap analyses and aligning IA with visual design and content strategy alongside Designers, BAs, and Content.
Accessibility & best practices: Applies current IA/UX standards (incl. WCAG considerations) and drives measurable improvements.
Responsible AI in UX: Practical use of AI to accelerate research synthesis, design exploration, and feedback analysis—while upholding privacy, consent, and anonymization and optimizing workflows/budgets.
Tool proficiency: Advanced with Figma (incl. FigJam), Optimal Workshop Suite, and Google Docs/Sheets/Slides (or equivalents).
Senior/consultant level, client-facing facilitation and presentation skills.
Bonus: Agency/consultancy background; client website delivery experience; team leadership or mentoring experience.
