About the role
- Lead and modernise TfL’s SHE systems to ensure integration, compliance and continuous improvement.
- Provide senior leadership to SHE teams and drive high performance across all functions.
- Own the organisation wide SHE Management System and deliver strategic insight to senior stakeholders.
- Oversee the London Underground rulebook and align it with assurance and competence processes.
- Lead SHE assurance, reporting and investigations, ensuring lessons are embedded and regulatory requirements are met.
- Manage SHE training delivery, a £2m budget and a team of approx. 30 professionals.
- Reduce organisational safety, financial and reputational risk.
Requirements
- Senior management leadership
- Delivering and maintaining SHE systems in large organisations
- IT/process change sponsorship and operational risk/assurance leadership
- SHE Management Systems, transport/rail standards, regulatory frameworks.
- Safety critical operations, incident investigation, assurance and continuous improvement.
- Experience of sponsoring the development of systems/tech projects
