About the role

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of Data Engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Design, architect, and oversee the development of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data solutions
  • Oversee the collection, transformation, and analysis of large datasets to identify trends and actionable insights
  • Review code, optimize performance, and ensure adherence to technical standards and architectural guidelines
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and introduce modern data engineering tools and methodologies
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and resource allocation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in Data Engineering roles
  • Former experience in a leadership position
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling methodologies and Data Warehousing practices
  • Advanced experience with Azure technologies (Databricks, Data Factory etc.)
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS, Python
  • Solid experience in designing and implementing ETL processes
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
  • Strong understanding of data architecture principles and scalable system design
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • **Nice to Have**
  • Experience working in outsourced or client-facing projects
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
