About the role

  • Work closely with the Senior Director of North Africa to support IHG’s growth agenda
  • Actively seeking out development opportunities including new builds, conversions, portfolio deals, and strategic brand rollouts
  • Build a strong market network, stay updated with industry news, develop relationships with owners, developers, consultants, investment groups, and government stakeholders
  • Assess and analyse opportunities quickly and independently, identifying site suitability, brand fit and commercial viability
  • Working closely with the Senior team supporting negotiations end-to-end, partnering with Investment Analysis and senior development leadership
  • Manage RFP responses, feasibility inputs, and internal approval processes, creating informative decks for presentation to the business
  • Collaborate across IHG functions (design & engineering, operations, legal, finance) to move deals from concept to close
  • Stay ahead of market intelligence, track competitor activity, supply pipelines, and capital appetite across North Africa

Requirements

  • Significant experience in hotel development, hospitality consulting, or real estate advisory
  • Knowledge of franchise and managed agreements
  • Strong understanding of hotel project economics, return metrics and investment logic
  • Familiarity with MEA markets, preferably with experience in Egypt or North Africa
  • Able to assess feasibility, analyse opportunities, and identify suitable prospects
  • Client facing skills and strong presentation capability
  • Language skills – written and spoken Arabic and English, French would be an advantage
  • Energetic, resilient and consultative; essential when working with institutional owners and evolving markets
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, opportunity led and commercially sharp
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while remaining highly collaborative
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hospitality, Real Estate or Business.
  • Significant travel across Egypt and North Africa
