About the role
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior DoD civilians, general/flag officers, service recruiting commands, and state Adjutants General.
- Demonstrate deep fluency in military culture, command structures, and decision-making processes.
- Advise on recruitment marketing strategies that strengthen readiness, support quality accessions, diversify talent pipelines, and sustain long‑term workforce health.
- Represent Unified Partnerships with the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and mission alignment.
- Lead revenue growth across federal and state military recruitment and readiness initiatives.
- Develop opportunities for Unified Partnerships to serve as a strategic subcontractor to major advertising, creative, and media agencies, and small qualified primes.
- Shape capture strategies, win themes, and solution design for DoD and state recruitment contracts.
- Identify long‑term contract vehicles, IDIQs, and key agency relationships that fuel sustained growth.
- Provide accurate DoD insights, procurement realities, and mission context to enhance pitches, proposals, and client engagements.
- Articulate how UP's government campaign expertise integrates with iHeartMedia’s national scale, localized reach, trusted platforms, influencer network, data, and digital capabilities to support modern recruitment needs.
- Serve as a strategic value‑add partner to agencies holding DoD and state recruitment contracts.
Requirements
- Senior experience working directly with DoD, service branches, or defense‑related recruitment/communications programs.
- Credibility to engage confidently with SES leaders, general/flag officers, and senior agency executives.
- Proven success in federal and/or state government business development, particularly in marketing, communications, or recruitment.
- Strong understanding of paid media, integrated campaigns, and modern media ecosystems.
- Established reputation and network within military, government, and agency communities.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence without formal authority.
- High emotional intelligence, discretion, and a mission‑first mindset.
- Veteran or retired military leader strongly preferred.
