About the role

  • Provide the strategic vision for developing a comprehensive technology architecture strategy that aligns with IEHP’s long-term business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks that ensure consistency, scalability, and interoperability across technology platforms.
  • Establish Architecture and Technology review boards to ensure strategic alignment within the organization’s overall business strategy.
  • Develop and manage an innovation pipeline that continuously explores and assesses emerging technologies.
  • Analyze technology industry and market trends to determine potential impact upon the enterprise.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies that can create competitive advantages and drive digital transformation.
  • Create proof-of-concept initiatives to validate the potential of new technologies.
  • Create comprehensive architectural blueprints that balance innovation, performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to develop enterprise architecture requirements.
  • Design holistic technology roadmaps that integrate emerging technologies with existing systems and Infrastructure.
  • Lead the development of enterprise architecture governance structure based on business and IT strategies.
  • Oversee enterprise architecture implementation and ongoing refinement activities.
  • Define and enforce architectural standards, principles, and best practices.
  • Manage architectural initiative budgets and resource allocation.
  • Drive enterprise influence and executive partnership necessary to ensure architectural decisions support long-term business success while positioning us to capitalize on emerging technology opportunities.
  • Direct the development and execution of communication plans (including education) for enterprise architecture standards.
  • Communicate complex technological concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure architectural decisions support business agility, operational efficiency, and strategic growth.
  • Lead complex technology migration and modernization initiatives.
  • Build and mentor a high-performance architecture and emerging technologies team.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in exploring and implementing cutting-edge technological solutions.
  • Develop talent through coaching, professional development, and exposure to cutting-edge technologies.
  • Present technology strategies, architectural recommendations, and innovation opportunities to Senior Leadership.
  • Perform any other duties as required to ensure Health Plan operations and department business needs are successful.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance implications for technology
  • Advanced comprehensive knowledge and understanding in the following areas:
  • System design principles and architectural patterns
  • Enterprise architecture tools, applications, platforms, and systems
  • Infrastructure design, scalability, and reliability
  • Developing and articulating long-term technology vision and strategy
  • Change management and technology transformation
  • Researching, assessing, and integrating cutting-edge technologies
  • Proof-of-concept development and technology evaluation
  • Enterprise architecture frameworks and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to develop multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives
  • Articulate complex technical concepts to C-suite and board-level audiences
  • Influence and negotiate across departments without direct authority
  • Mentor architects and build architectural competency across the organization
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and business risks
  • Manage architectural initiative budgets and resource allocation
