About the role
- Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification and mitigation across manufacturing sites
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety laws, environmental regulations, and industry standards
- Stay updated on changes to EHS legislation and best practices
- Implement controls to reduce accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses
- Investigate workplace incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Track and report OHS and environmental performance metrics and maintain EHS dashboards and KPIs
- Implement environmental management programs (waste management, pollution prevention, resource conservation) and ensure ISO 14001 compliance
- Develop and deliver EHS training, promote safety culture, and coach managers to integrate EHS into operations
- Lead internal EHS audits, follow up on findings, and drive continuous improvement projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field
- ISO 14001/45001 experience, lead auditor qualification preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a production environment
- Strong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Effective communication, training, and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in EHS management systems and software tools
- Ability to work under pressure and in a rapidly changing environment
