About the role
- Reporting directly to the Head of Technology - Digital Sales, the Product (Digital) Architect bridges business strategy, product vision and technical execution.
- Operating across both product-focused and solution-focused initiatives, the role ensures that digital solutions are robustly designed, technically sound, and aligned with business goals.
- Analyse business needs, define architectural direction, create technical designs, and partner closely with engineering, product, and delivery teams.
- Collaborate with Enterprise and Domain Architecture to ensure all solutions align with IAG’s architectural standards, roadmaps and strategic principles.
- Flex depending on the initiative sometimes shaping the architecture of a digital product, other times defining cross-functional solutions for complex business problems.
Requirements
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Certification in TOGAF or an equivalent qualification in IT architecture.
- Significant experience in an architecture role.
- Proficiency in operating within both Agile and Structured delivery environments.
- Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
- Previous track record serving as a Solutions Architect or Technical Architect.
- Experience working in the Logistics, Freight, Courier industry is desirable.
- Experience of major technology and business change programs.
