About the role

  • Develop, evolve & implement the overall Bluelink and Genesis Connected Services (GCS) business strategy and its future features and services.
  • Own the Connected vehicle/telematics feature set - prepare incoming features.
  • Update assets such as feature matrix’, educate dealers, and provide call center training
  • Develop and propose recommendations, with other Hyundai business groups, for new telematics & connected products, features, and services along with technical design, interfaces, and operations roadmaps.
  • Coordinate with existing and prospective supplier(s) and the Company’s Legal Department to develop and maintain necessary RFPs, Statements of Work (SOW), and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Maintain budget file for projects.
  • Analyze and evaluate competitor products including trends, performance and consumer feedback.
  • Coordinate with the Hyundai business groups to develop infrastructures to support telematics/wireless products while ensuring the Company is compliant with Canadian regulations.
  • Triage escalated call center inquiries, utilize JIRA for ticketing and management of issues
  • Forecast and report on telematics sales, enrollment, call center calls, revenue
  • Manage supplier relationships and coordinate feature/services testing.
  • Coordinate with quality and service teams locally and globally for vehicle features and texting
  • Evaluate financial offerings and models from various suppliers on quality, innovation and value to the customers.
  • Assist marketing with Bluelink/GCS shoots by providing assets and expertise
  • Keep up-to-date with competitive offerings in both the automotive OEM market, and the consumer electronics and wireless communication industries.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree - preferably in Business or Engineering, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • 5+ years’ experience
  • Experience with vendor relationship management and project management
  • Experience with JIRA would be an asset
  • Product owner and/or product management experience
  • Product Planning experience with an Automotive OEM
  • Understanding of general technology (apps, over-the-air updates), automotive technology (electric vehicles, infotainment, navigation, apps) and/or consumer electronics such as smart phones.
  • Purchasing and vendor management experience including contract and SOW development.
  • Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
  • Interested and/or knowledgeable in cellular communications, cloud technology, smart home, and IOT.
  • Occasional travel to other provinces, US
  • Occasional evening meetings (PST/KST time zone)
  • Occasional need to go in/out of vehicles for testing
