About the role
- Oversee the daily administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with the Union.
- Maintain grievance log and prepare statistical reports in partnership with the broader regional labor team.
- Actively support managers and supervisors in the investigation of grievances with a focus on proactively resolving them internally.
- Represent the Hotel and act as the spokesperson at grievance meetings.
- Educate and guide managers and supervisors through the grievance process and on contract interpretation.
- Develop and maintain ongoing lists of management initiatives and proposals for future contract negotiations.
- Educate managers and supervisors on the effects of historical work practices as well as actions that impact work practices.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Five or more years of progressive experience in a leadership role in Human Resources with an emphasis on labor relations, or in labor relations.
- Ability to travel approximately 25-50%
