About the role
- Hyatt Regency McCormick Place located in Chicago’s South Loop, connected to McCormick Place convention center; 1,258 guest rooms and 60,000 sq. ft. event space
- Manage designated market segment focusing on corporate and association groups (151–600 peak rooms)
- Hybrid role requiring three days onsite per week
- Sell guest rooms, meeting space, and additional Hyatt services
- Conduct client site inspections and sales presentations
- Prepare proposals and maintain organized documentation
- Coordinate customer service with Sales, Events, and Catering teams
- Use Hyatt sales systems and uphold high service standards
- Participate in sales meetings and may lead team initiatives
- Partner with a Sales Coordinator and support staff
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hotel sales experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer systems and sales technology platforms
- A proactive, collaborative spirit and a genuine desire to exceed client expectations
- Training in selling, negotiating, or business writing is a plus
