About the role
- Drive effective implementation of client PR programs
- Lead comprehensive coverage monitoring and reporting efforts for client campaigns
- Handle communications with internal teams, client teams, and other external partners
- Oversee the tracking of media coverage and the calculation of metrics/results against campaign goals
- Manage people and projects to deliver high-quality results on-time
- Anticipate issues
- Delegate and assign work among junior team members; Effectively review and edit deliverables from junior team members
- Make recommendations for ways to meet client needs
- Serve as a representative of the client and agency on-site at client events
- Provide thorough analysis to clients of program/campaign results, backed by metrics
- Develop creative ideas and tactical elements for client programs
- Serve as a client contact and maintain relationships with key client personnel
- Accommodate and anticipate client needs; make recommendations to clients
- Respond to requests for information from clients in a timely manner
- Participate in client calls, meetings, presentations to the client and client brainstorms; attend client events
- Maintain relationships with key media contacts; leverage those relationships to obtain desired media coverage on behalf of clients
- Participate in agency brainstorm sessions for client programs
- Actively participate in agency committees or departments as designated/asked
- Demonstrate an interest in the long-range health of the agency
- Represent the agency in professional associations
- Ability to: Understand the clients’ business and relevant industry trends and use the information to develop strategic PR ideas
- Manage multiple projects
- Train and mentor junior and mid-level staff
- Effectively delegate work among team members
- Travel to client and event locations; meet with clients at their office locations/headquarters
- Demonstrate strong reporting, writing, editing, and interpersonal communication skills
- Monitor and track a large amount of traditional media, social media, and emerging media coverage stemming from client campaigns
- Proactively communicate with clients and external teams
- Maintain organization
- Review and edit client deliverables with an extremely thorough and detail-oriented perspective
- Show integrity and good judgment when working with colleagues and clients
- Deal constructively with client and personnel situations
Requirements
- B.A. in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or the like
- Three (3) to four (4) years’ experience in a public relations agency or similar position
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
