About the role
- Support the owner with air conditioning projects: design and quote for customers
- Perform administrative tasks, data management, and costing using multiple computer programmes including Excel
- During training: receive builder construction plans and set up electronic job files in database
- Load construction house plans, Excel spreadsheets and Plandroid into each new file
- Perform heat load calculations (zone-based and more detailed if needed) and ensure designs meet local performance standards
- Use Plandroid to create ducted/split system HVAC designs: draw plans, scale floor plans, place ducts, select components, calculate airflow, size ducts
- Set up/manage input catalogues in Plandroid (supplier parts, fittings) to ensure correct materials and pricing
- Prepare costings using Excel: material take-offs, labour, fixed cost items; reconcile and adjust pricing, labour rates, markup
- Produce reports/proposals/quotations via Quotient and ensure documentation matches Ford & Doonan format
- Revise designs following feedback, maintain version control and communicate changes clearly
- Liaise with Perth owner and admin staff for specification clarifications, compliance and issue resolution
- Assist the owner with other administrative tasks as required
- Collaborate aligned with AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for teamwork
Requirements
- Philippines-based candidates (must be located in Philippines)
- Basic understanding of house plans or willingness to learn (e.g., interior design, drafting, real estate, new homes sales)
- Someone who enjoys learning and working with new computer programs
- Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting
- No prior technical or industry experience required; company will provide training
- Open to candidates with limited experience who are eager to learn and grow
