About the role

  • Support strategic procurement initiatives including implementation of ai-enabled procurement platforms for intake & orchestration, contract management optimization and sourcing.
  • Support the implementation of the framework and governance of enterprise supplier management.
  • Support procurement process improvement initiatives, including optimization of third-party risk management processes.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to analyze process improvements and performance metrics, provide actionable insights to internal and stakeholder leadership, and identify further improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in sourcing initiatives to gain hands-on experience.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday for 12 weeks from May 18 – August 7, 2026.
  • Must be located or willing to relocate to Louisville, KY, New York City, NY or Arlington, VA or environs within commutable distance, and able to go into the office 2-3 days per week.
  • Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States now or in the future.
  • Must be a current full-time student pursuing a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related field with an expected graduation date of either December 2026 or Summer 2027.
  • Minimum of three years of professional work experience prior to beginning graduate school.
  • Ability to manage and interpret procurement data using business systems.
  • Must possess strong intrapersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
