About the role

  • Lead the team responsible for building the end-to-end experiences and capabilities of Hudl's camera product family (Hudl Focus)
  • Drive technical strategy and ensure team vision aligns with Hudl’s overall vision of empowering athletes and coaches
  • Ensure delivery of high-impact work on time with a focus on outcomes over outputs using data-driven decisions and quick iteration on feedback
  • Collaborate with leaders from various disciplines to plan and deliver enhancements across the product suite
  • Coach and empower a team of four to eight Software Engineers, supporting professional development and fostering a culture of continuous growth
  • Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies and champion Agile practices
  • Oversee application and integration layers running on each device, the cloud, and the mobile app
  • Facilitate design sessions, create architectural diagrams, and evaluate technical risks in software and processes

Requirements

  • Worked on cloud technology and built highly scalable software solutions
  • Proven track record of scaling efficiently and handling large volumes of data
  • Ability to set technical direction, facilitate design sessions, create architectural diagrams, and evaluate risks
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers (supporting a team of four to eight Software Engineers)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum practices and participation in Scrum ceremonies
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with C#, React, React Native, Rust, Python, MongoDB, and AWS
  • Nice-to-have: Experience partnering with Product Managers to shape and solidify the team’s roadmap
  • Must live near Lincoln, Nebraska or be located in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming
