About the role
- Support Hudl’s video encoding pipeline and ensure it is cost-efficient, scalable and provides highest quality video
- Work with latest video API to deliver enhancements across product suite
- Be a key technical leader: break down complex problems, advocate best practices, guide others
- Maintain efficiency: focus on outcomes, enable data-driven decisions, iterate quickly on feedback
- Collaborate across disciplines with leaders to plan and deliver enhancements
- Foster Agile practices: participate in Scrum ceremonies and maintain strong team culture
- Coach and mentor engineers, provide architectural guidance and lead technical delivery
Requirements
- Extensive experience in full-stack engineering
- Experience with cloud-based systems/services
- Advocate of TDD and CI/CD
- Technical coaching experience: translating requirements, creating architectural proposals, breaking work into increments, guiding Engineers through implementation
- Collaborative, team-first mindset
- Mentor mentality: code reviews, pair programming, documentation
- (Nice-to-haves) Professional background in C#, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, MongoDB and AWS
- (Nice-to-haves) Experience with media at scale, video encoding, on-demand rendering
- (Nice-to-haves) Passion for sports or experience with sports technology
- (Nice-to-haves) Familiarity with hybrid teams
